FAQ

  • What do I do on the day of my tour/ activity?
The night before we will send a reminder email with the location and the time for your activities. All you have to do is show up and have fun!
  • Are there any additional fees or costs?
The payment made to Dog Friendly Tour covers the basic package for each activity. If you would like to add any additional services or upgrades, you can pay for those directly to our partners. This allows you to customize your experience based on your preferences and your dog's needs.
  • What happens if I or my dog damages property or harms a person?
If you or your dog causes damage to property or harms a person during the tour, you are fully responsible for covering any costs or legal actions that may arise. This responsibility is outlined in the service agreement you signed during the booking process. We recommend keeping your dog on a leash and under control at all times to prevent any incidents.
  • What should I bring on the tour for my dog?
We recommend bringing your dog's favorite leash, a comfortable harness, waste bags, water, dog shoes ( for the hot sidewalks) and any specific treats or toys your dog loves. Depending on the tour, additional items may be suggested in your itinerary.
  • Can I bring more than one dog on the tour?
Yes, you can bring multiple dogs, depending on the specific tour and activity. Each tour will specify the maximum number of dogs allowed. If you have more than one dog, please make sure to include all relevant information on the forms provided.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change. Please refer to our cancellation policy detailed in the service agreement you’ll receive after booking. Generally, cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour will be granted a full refund.
  • Is my booking automatically accepted?
No, your booking is not automatically accepted. After booking, we’ll email you a dog vaccination form and an online behavioral assessment form from hello@dogfriendlytour.com. Once you submit the completed documents, it may take up to 72 hours to approve your booking. After acceptance, we’ll send you an invoice and service agreement forms. Upon receiving your payment and signed forms, we'll provide your itinerary along with a list of dog-friendly restaurants and hotels, some of which offer discounts for our customers!
  • What happens if my booking is not accepted?
We will email you right away if your dog is not a good fit for the tour. We will provide other free activities that you can do with your dog on your own. You can also sign up for the activity without your dog. We do not accept aggressive or unvaccinated dogs on the tour. During the tour dogs will be out in new environments. Los Angeles is a bustling city and dogs must be friendly to people and other dogs. We do conduct an online behavioral assessment, if we see that the information on the forms are false we will not accept your booking or payment.
  • Can I bring any snacks or alcohol to the activities?
Yes, you are welcome to bring snacks for yourself and your dog to enjoy during the activities. However, please check with us in advance regarding alcohol, as some activities may have specific restrictions. We want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved!
  • I am not receiving emails after booking, what should I do?
Our emails tend to go into spam folder. If you can't find our emails in there please email us directly at hello@dogfriendlytour.com or text us at 317-670-5255
  • What if I am late to my tour?
Please call or text us immediately at 317-670-5255, and please call the activity guide as well. Some activities are more lenient and accommodating than others. Most have a set time frame and cannot accommodate tardiness. Parking and traffic in Los Angeles are very challenging. We recommend giving yourself 25 minutes to park. We will send you parking information in your booking packet once your booking is approved.
  • What happens if my dog becomes anxious or overwhelmed during the tour?
We understand that new environments can be stressful for some dogs. Owners are responsible for their pets during the tour. If your dog becomes anxious or reactive, we recommend giving them treats and keeping them on a leash to help calm them down. However, if our guide determines that your dog could pose a danger and decides to end the tour, you must comply. This policy is outlined in the forms you signed during the booking process.
  • Are there any restrictions on the types of dogs allowed?
We welcome all breeds, but for safety and comfort, we require that your dog be up-to-date on vaccinations and well-behaved in social settings. You’ll need to fill out a vaccination form and a behavioral form as part of the booking process. We will recommend other activity options if your dog might not be well suited for the activity you chose.
  • What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?
Safety is our top priority, so if the weather is unsuitable for outdoor activities, we’ll either reschedule the tour or offer indoor alternatives. We’ll keep you informed and work with you to ensure the best possible experience.
